Doctor Appointment Update

Good morning!

I had a doctor appointment yesterday and an ultrasound! It is amazing how much he has grown! He looked great and healthy and his measurements were perfect! They are estimating that he weights around 5 pounds and 1 ounce. He has hair and he is head down, so that is great news!

I go back in 2 weeks and then I start my weekly appointments. I cannot believe how fast this is going by.

That is all I have time to post today. I will hopefully post a picture tomorrow! Have a great Thursday!!!

34 Weeks!!! WOOOHOOO

I am getting bigger, or I should say Will is getting bigger!

This past week has been busy. Last Friday was my work shower. It was so amazing. Deborah and Suzanne here at work put it all together and they did a fabulous job!! It was perfect. There are so many people who I work with that did so much for me and Will. I am so very thankful to work with such great people! I have posted pictures on the previous post!!

So this week, I had a place removed from my face. It was something pregnancy related and it was not getting any smaller. So it is removed; however, you can see a small black place on my face. It will be gone soon hopefully!!!

The other big thing going on this week.... Chad and I bought a new car for him, he needed a daddy car instead of the jeep. So he is leaving today to go pick up the car in Jacksonville, FL. A friend of his is going with him, thanks Joseph! We bought an Infinite M35, it is so pretty and I am very excited for Chad as he has been wanting a new car for a while, it just took a while to find one!!

So this weekend, I am going to do some house work and get some more things ready for Baby Will's arrival. I am also doing the Big Springs 1 mile fun run (or I should say walk) in the morning! See you there Tara and Sara!

33 Weeks

Good morning and TGIF!

I cannot believe I am already 33 Weeks! Only 7 weeks until we get to meet this precious baby boy!! Here is my weekly belly picture!

Last weekend was my baby tea. It was so wonderful. I have the best friends and family to through me such a wonderful tea. Everything was so beautiful and perfect, thank you all so much for all your help. Also, thank you everyone who came. It was so good to see everyone and Will got some great things to start off his life! He is truly a blessed little boy as is his mom! I have posted my pictures on the previous post, I have never posted pictures this way through shutterfly, but it was very easy, I might do that again!

This has been a very busy week. Today is my baby shower at work. I am very excited about it! I have so many wonder friends here and it is so nice of them to give me a shower. I know it will be lots of fun. I will post pictures next week.

I also had my doctor appointment this week. Everything is looking good! I have my next one in 2 weeks and we will get to see how big baby Will is as they are doing an ultrasound. I am so excited to get to see him, it has been since I was 18 weeks!! After this appointment we start going every week. We are in the final stretch.

32 Weeks... Finally Friday!

Happy Friday!! TGIF


I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am that today is Friday. I thought this weekend would never come. I have lots going on this weekend, but before we get to that, let me post my weekly picture!!!

Not my best picture. I actually felt pregnant for the first time yesterday and I guess it went into the night, because I woke up at 2:45 this morning and could not go back to sleep, it was horrible. I just laid there until 4:00 when I decided to get up and go play on the computer..... sad I know, so needless to say I am so ready for bed time!!

Well this weekend is going to be very busy! Tomorrow my mom and I are meeting one of my oldest and dearest friends Wendy and her mom Betty for lunch. I am so excited. We have not seen each other in about 4 years so it will be so nice to catch up with them! Then tomorrow, one of my close friends is having a baby shower. She is adopting twin boys! I am so excited for her! Then on Sunday is my baby tea!!! YEA!! I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am for Sunday!! I cannot wait to see everyone and see what all Will gets. 9 of my closest friends are hosting and I am so thankful for each and everyone of them and so blessed to have them all in my life. I love you all! Thank you!

So this weekend is going to be a very busy one if you can tell! Next Friday is my work baby shower and it is going to be big too from what I hear!! Suzanne and Deborah who I work with are doing a great job putting it together, they will not tell me all the details but I know it is going to be great!! Thanks girls, it means a lot to me!

31 Weeks!

Good morning and Happy Monday,




I cannot believe that it is already Monday, this weekend went by way to fast.





To start off my blog today, I will let you see my every growing belly!
I would say that I am getting bigger, I did feel huge on Friday (when this picture was taken).... So that is a good thing right?? Considering I have less than 9 weeks to go!!! 9 weeks until I meet this amazing little boy inside me, I cannot wait!!

So this weekend was very busy! Saturday Chad and I attended Planning for Parenthood. It was a very good class and was very informative. Then after that we had our niece's birthday party at Chuckie Cheese that we tried to make it to, but did not. I hate that we did not make it, we will have to make it up to her! Saturday night we had one of our best friends 30th Birthday Party! Happy 30th Brad! We went bowling for his birthday and then to eat Mexican! It was a long night for this one!!

Yesterday we had a lazy day. My wonderful mom and dad came over and helped us hang some things in Will's room. My dad painted his letters for his wall and some canvas's for his bathroom, he did an amazing job! I will post pictures eventually of everything.

I also had a doctor's appointment last Monday and Will is doing great! We go back again next week!

10 Weeks and Counting!

You read correctly, I am 30 weeks today!! My how the time has flown! I cannot believe that I will be meeting baby Will in the next 10 weeks. To say that I am so excited is a slight understatement. It is so amazing how much I already love him and love to connect with him. When he moves around and wiggles I love to talk to him and play with him. The other day, he kept moving his knee (I think it was a knee, could have been anything) and he would move it twice and I would push back twice and he would push back twice, it kept going for a while. I think I started crying I was so excited to have him interact with me. It is just an amazing experience.

So here is my belly picture for the week.

Not too much bigger, but I am feeling bigger. I am starting to get uncomfortable at night for some reason. I have what I would say is heartburn and the only way I am comfortable is if I go lay in the bed with my body pillow! Other than that I feel great!

I am going at lunch today to pick up his dresser, it came in yesterday. My friend Leigh is going to go with me and then we are going to go to Hobby Lobby and see what we can get into.

Tomorrow, I am hoping to do my Belly Pictures with Sara if it is pretty! Who knows around here anymore! Then Erica is going to come over and paint his letters for his room! I am so excited! Things are coming together so great!

Well I hope that everyone has a great Friday! I am so glad that it is Friday and we have a long weekend. I have a doctor's appointment Monday morning and Mom and I are going to work on his bathroom!

Belly Picture and Weekend Update

Good morning! Here is Friday's Belly Pic - 29 Weeks!!

So this weekend was pretty productive. I found the letters that I am going to paint for his room. I went all over town Saturday morning to find them. My dad and Chad painted his room Saturday and put his crib together! It looks so good. I will take pictures and post them soon!! I am so excited about it all coming together! Yesterday was one of my best friends little boys (Hudson's) Baby Dedication. It was really sweet. Then we all went to eat lunch after, it was a lot of fun. Last night of course was the SuperBowl so I watched for the commericals and I say they were not too good...

Well I hope this week is better than last week at work, we have been so busy. That I the third trimester tiredness has hit. By 5:00 every afternoon it is all I can do to keep my eyes open!

Baby Will Update (28 weeks and counting)

Happy Hump Day!

Well I am almost 29 weeks (that will be Friday) but I have not posted in a while so I will give you a small update. I went to the doctor on Monday and he is measuring perfectly. It was the quickest appointment that I have had so far so that was nice. I go back on February 15th! I will be 30 weeks then, OMG... I cannot believe it. I will try to post a belly picture this Friday!

He is doing great, moving around all the time. We are hopefully painting this weekend (or I should say Chad and my dad are going to paint), then maybe we can put the crib together and go pick up the dresser since it should be ready by the weekend! I am also going to do my belly pictures this Saturday. I was thinking about not doing these, but one of my best friends Sara loves photography and takes all her boys pictures herself and they are so great. She asked if I wanted her to do my pictures, so sure why not!! It cannot be too bad right!

Well I hope you are all having a great week. It has been a very very busy one at work so it is hard to find time to post, because when I am at home I want to do nothing!!

27 Weeks

So here I am at 27 WEEKS!! WOW only 13 weeks to go!! I am so ready to meet this little one. He had the hiccups for the first time that I noticed on Wednesday night. It was so funny and so amazing!! I am still feeling pretty good! I have gotten more tired quicker in the evenings this week but other than that still doing great!

Baby Will Update

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I had the day off yesterday and it was nice, I wish I always had Mondays off!

Well yesterday I had a doctor's appointment and my sugar test. Guess What? I passed!! That was some great news!! The test was not too bad, I was just not wanting to do the 3 hour test so I was so glad when she told me I passed!! Will is doing great! He measured perfectly (a little past 26 weeks) and his heart rate was 155. He was being cute while she was listening......he kept moving so she would have to keep moving to listen, I kept laughing!! Now I go back every 2 weeks. I cannot believe it, it is going by so fast!!

The weekend was fun! Tara and I went shopping on Saturday and got some things for Will and I got my diaper bag! I am so excited! I had to order it, so it should be in soon! That night, Adam and Lyndsi came over and we cooked steak and watched The Hangover (I slept). And then Sunday we went to Church and out to lunch with Alex, Jamie and the boys! It was a nice weekend. Now back to a busy week at work (fun fun...lol)

Alabama Game, 25 Weeks, New Years, Baby Name and Christmas...Oh My!

Happy Friday!!!

Well as you can tell by the title of this blog I have a lot to catch up on. It has been a busy week with coming back to work after a long holiday and then with the "snow" and all!!!

Lets just start off by saying ROLL TIDE!! That was a great game last night and I am so super excited that Alabama won. I am very tired today from staying up to watch the game, but it was worth it! I can catch up tomorrow!!!


25 Weeks!! Wow!! I know I say this a lot, I am so bad about posting every week. I will truly try to post every Friday with a weekly picture. Just because I do not post every week does not mean I do not take them, because I do!! So here is today's picture!!

Well at 25 weeks I still feel great. I am still in the 2nd Trimester Honeymoon!!! No complaints!! I will say that I am (knock on wood) having an easy pregnancy!! I hope the next 15 weeks are this good!!! I am sure they will get harder!!

I will say this, my favorite thing in life is feeling him move. In the past week it is amazing how much more active he is and it is the most amazing thing in the world!!!! It lights up my heart so much and you can see it on my face each time he moves. I will remember this for as long as I live!! Last night during the came I think he was practing his kicks, I think we have a little punter in their!! LOL. He moved so much, I think with me being nervous he must have known!

Well for New Years we were in the Smokey Mountains. That is where we have been the last 13 years in a row with my family to celebrate the New Year. We left on the 27th and game back on the 3rd! It was a great trip; however, it was one of the coldest trips I can remember!! We had a great time and I cannot wait to go back next year and take the baby for the first time!! He will love it!!!! I hope we can always keep this tradition up!!

Well I know many of you know that we have named the baby, but I was waiting to post it because his father was giving me a hard time. Chad and I came up with a boy name a few years ago so as soon as we were told that we were having a boy I started calling the baby by his name. Well Chad likes to pick on me so he would never confirm the name, until Christmas Eve... he gave me a confirmation FINALLY, so now we all call the baby his name....William Lawrence Carpenter (we will call him Will). This is a family name. My little brother and my grandfather are William and Chad and his father both have Lawrence as a middle name so we both love this name and calling him Will is great! I just love his name!!!

Christmas was great!! We had Christmas Eve at my parents house and that is always fun. It went really smooth this year and we were on time with the dinner and all (I help my mom cook everything and we usual get behind). Christmas morning Chad family (which included his moms mom and Tom, Brandy (his sister), Sheldon, Maddie, Bella) and my family (which inlcuded my mother and father and brother) and even Tom's children Amanda and Chris all came to our house for breakfast! It was a lot of fun cooking together!!! Then for the rest of the day Chad and I played Wii..... It was so nice and relaxing. We even ate a frozen pizza for dinner. It is funny how our Christmas is so laid back, but next year with Will it will be so different. I cannot wait!!!

Well I think that is all for now. I hope that everyone had a great week. It has been crazy with coming back to work and then the snow. I was hoping for a snow day today but oh well, at least it is Friday. I hope everyone has been safe and will bundle up for the weekend as it is going to be a cold one!!

Doctor's Appointment and Weekend Update

Well I had a doctor's appointment Monday and I went but did not know I was about to have a Stomach Bug, so needless to say I went home after the doctor's appointment and went to bed and then recovered yesterday working at home.

The Doctor's appointment went great. His heartbeat was 138 and he measured right at 22 weeks, which is perfect. The next time I go, January 18th, I have to have the sugar test and then I start going every 2 weeks. Can you believe how fast this is going by?? I know I can't!! I just love him being in my tummy and feeling him move!! It is the best feeling I have ever experienced.

Weekend Update
The weekend was great. My nieces came into town late Friday night and Saturday we had Christmas at my grandmothers. It was a lot of fun and it is was a big Christmas. My grandmother got remarried this year (yes, she will be 83 in February and got remarried this year, you would never know that she was that old and she is still so very active, she would get mad at me for telling you her age, so keep it to yourself please!) So this year we had Freeman's(her husband) family over as well. They are so nice and it went really well. Then afterwards, we went back to my parents house and did Christmas with the girls since they are not able to come back up for Christmas. That was fun and boy were they so tired, we could not even get Carrie to finish opening her gifts!

Then Sunday Chad and I got up and went to Babies R Us to do some shopping. It was a lot of fun and the first time Chad and I had gone out together to shop. I have shopped many times, but not with him. So we picked out and actually bought the bedding (it should be here today!!). We picked out the furniture and all the big items (Pack N Play, Car Seat, Stroller, High Chair) so that was a lot of fun. We then met my mom and dad and the girls at Jim N Nicks in Hoover, and went to the Mall to ride the carousel! The girls loved all the lights and had so much fun. I am so glad that we got to do this with them. I should have pictures soon. I get them from my dad I will post some!

So Monday I came to work and did not feel 100% and thought it was pregnancy related. I went to the doctor and by the time I got back to work I knew something was off so I headed home. Good thing to as I had caught the stomach bug..... not fun at all. It has been so many years since I have had it (like I was so small I really do not remember it), well I will say it is not fun. I woke up yesterday feeling much better, but I was just so weak so I worked from home. I am back to work today; however, it is my last day until January 4th! I am so excited!! We are leaving for Gatlinburg on Sunday and will be gone a week!!!! I looked at the forecast and it looks like it is going to snow! I sure hope so! That will be so much fun!!

Well I hope that everyone has a very very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! There is so much going on with all my close friends and family. So many babies have been born in the last couple of months as well as so many on the way. I know how excited I am and how blessed I feel and I know that you all have so many blessings as well. 22 Weeks

Happy Friday!!!

Well here I am today at 22 weeks!

Not too bad I must say!!! He is a growing that is for sure!!

I hope that everyone has had a great week! It has been a very busy one. Just to report, I loved It's A Wonderful Life, I cannot believe that I just saw it for my first time, I have been missing out. I told Chad that I wanted to buy that one!

My sister in law Brandy had her baby Wednesday morning at 7:38. She weighted 7.5 pounds and is very cute. They did put her in the NICU to monitor her breathing but everything is good and both mom and Bella should go home tomorrow. Please say a prayer that they both get to go home tomorrow!

I found out yesterday that my nieces are coming into town this evening! I am so super excited. I did not think I would get to see them for Christmas but now we will get to. We are having Christmas at my grandmothers tomorrow so I am glad that they will be here for that.

Its been a while

Good morning and Happy Monday!!




Well I am a little behind and I am not doing good at posting belly pictures so I will post them today!! Here I am at 18, 19, 20 and 21 weeks! Week 21 is at the bottom! It appears I was in a black phase and now I am in a red!! I would say that I am putting on some weight, or to me if looks that way!! LOL That juts means that my Baby Boy will be healthy!

So this past weekend was so busy! Chad and I had dinner out Friday night and it was a late night for us, but a lot of fun! Then Saturday I got up early and finsihed all my shopping!!! Thank goodness, I was so ready to be done. Saturday night we went to eat Mexican with our friends Joseph and Meredith and watched Ingram win the Heisman! That was so great and he did a great job with his speech, he even had me crying. Then yesterday we had Chad's Christmas Party at the MacWayne Center! I had never been and it was a lot of fun. We were there for a few hours and still did not see and do everything. We will have to go back!!

Well for this week, it is going to be a busy one, but that is how December goes. Tonight I have the EWJC Christmas Party which is always a lot of fun. Tomorrow night we are going to see It's a Wonderful Life at the Alabama Theater with Joseph and Meredith and I am so excited as I have never seen this movie! I will let you all now how I like it! Then Wednesday Chad's sister is having her baby and I am taking off a half day of work to go see her and then go home and clean house to get ready for Bonko at my house Thursday night!! WOW, I am just tired saying all that!!

Since I am behind in posting, I wanted to let everyone know that one of my very close friends had their baby boy this past Tuesday (December 8th) Alyson and DJ brough Cohen Garrett into the world. He is a beautiful baby and he looks just like his big sister Jayden! I cannot wait for our boys to grow up together! Love you both!!

ITS A.............

BOY!!!!

For those of you who have not heard, Chad and I found out Monday (which was his 30th Birthday) that we are having a little boy!! We could not be any more happy!! I am so excited about meeting this little guy even though I still have a ways to go!! Everything went great at the doctor's appointment as we got the "big ultrasound". My next appointment is not for 4 weeks!!

To catch everyone up, we went to the Alabama game Saturday and it was a lot of fun as we had a blow out of a game (which was expected). We went to dreamland with my aunt and uncle and their two children. It was so much fun!! Sunday we had Thanksgiving at Chad's mom's house. The food was yummy and then Monday was Chad's birthday and the big day!! It was so amazing and I am still on cloud nine smiling all the time. I had a gut feeling that it was a little boy but to have it confirmed and on Chad's birthday is a day that we will never forget! Happy Birthday Chad! I love you so very much, you are going to make a wonderful father!

Today the girls are in town (Steven, my brother, his two little girls that I adore). We are going to take them to get their Christmas pictures this afternoon and I am so excited to get to spend time with them. Then this evening it is off to moms to start getting everything prepared for tomorrow when we go to my grandmother's for Thanksgiving.

I have so much to be thankful for this year. As most of you know this year started off rocky for me and now it is such an amazing to see how everything works out. There is a reason for everything and God is in control. That is the most important thing I have learned.

Much to Post - Part 1 and Part 2

Well I am going to break these down into 2 Parts

Part 1 - 16 Weeks and LSU
Well last Friday I was 16 weeks! WOW I know, I cannot believer it!! So Here is the Belly Pic for Week 16!So not much change since the week before.

So we all went to the LSU game. Lots of us tailgated and Chad went to the game with some work buddies. They took a client to the game so I got to go with my Dad! We had the best time and that was the best game I have gone too (probably because we won!!). Well it was so much fun and Alabama pulled it through, we were a little scared during the first half! Here is a picture of me and my dad after the game!! Of course the big smiles are because we won and had so much fun!! I am so glad that me and my dad got to do this together!

Part 2 - This week and 17 Weeks!

So this has been a busy week! I had a doctor's appointment Monday and it went really good. The baby's heartbeat was 150 and I got great news! She is letting me come back on November 23rd to find out the sex. I am so excited as this is Chad's 30th Birthday and I think this will make his birthday that much more special!

We were off Wednesday for Veterans Day and me and mom spent the day together shopping. We went to Babys R Us and let me tell you, I have never realized how much baby stuff there is and how much you have to think about, wow there is a lot!! So after we find out the sex it is time to shop shop shop!!! SO fun!!

So today I am 17 weeks, weeks are really coming fast now. Here is a belly picture from today! And yes, it appears I wear black shirts almost every Friday so next week I will have to be different!!

I think I am getting bigger!!

So tomorrow Chad is going to Mississippi for the Alabama game. He is lucky and gets to sit in a box as he is being the client that is entertained! So I will be home tomorrow doing things around the house, maybe more shopping!! Tomorrow night is on of my best friend's 30th birthday! Happy Birthday Brandi, I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow! I will be going to her party tomorrow night so that should be fun!!

An Update..... Long Over Due and NOW 15 WEEKS!

Happy Friday and Happy Day before Halloween, which means here at Compass today is dress up day!!!!

First thing first. It has been a while since I have updated and I wanted to let everyone know that I went to the doctor last Monday (October 19) and everything looked great. Baby's C heartrate was 160!! We were told to come back in 3 weeks so my next appointment is November 9th!

So I have been taken belly pictures since 9 weeks. I have not been posting them as there is really nothing too much to see, but I decided today being 15 weeks that I would make a Collage of weeks 9-15. So without further adieu........
They are in order from left to right top first and then bottom. So the Alabama outfit is today! 15 Weeks!!

So you may be wondering why I am decked out in Alabama gear??? Well today at work is Halloween and we can dress up. So the department I work in (Compensation and Benefits) dressed up as your favorite football team's BIGGEST FAN! So of course I had to deck out in my Alabama!! ROLL TIDE! Also, we are having a Tail Gate party all day so needless to say I will probably gain 5 pounds today!! LOL So here are some pictures of us today being goofy at work!

Well I hope that everyone is doing good. I hope that you all have a great and safe halloween!! We will be very busy tonight as we have been invited to 3 parties. I am not sure if I will make it to all 3 or not, but I am going to try! Then tomorrow, we will watch and see how bad Auburn looks, after last weekend there is no hope, but I should not say anything as we have LSU coming up next weekend!!

Mommy and Baby C Update

Happy Tuesday! I hope that you all had a great weekend!! Roll Tide!! They did great!!

Well my next doctor's appointment was not scheduled until tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7); however, due to some complications for mommy here we had to go in early and see the doctor yesterday. First let me say that the baby is great!! I am now 11 weeks 4 days and they ultrasounds was amazing! The baby even rolled over for us (show off) it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I am so excited and anxious for the next 6 months to come and go so I can meet my little man or lady!!!

So the reason I had to go to the doctor yesterday. Well Sunday I woke up and everything seemed just fine. My mom had come over around 11:00 to help me clean house (yes, I have the best mom ever). Well why she was there I went to the bathroom and I could not go (urinate that is). So I went and told my mom who said maybe it was just how the baby was positioned or something and maybe I really did not have to go it just felt like it. Well I waited and kept feeling like I needed to go to the point were I was getting uncomfortable so I tried again and still could not go. At this point I was getting nervous because I was starting to hurt because I had to go so bad. Well I decided around 1:30 or so to call the doctor as I have not been to the bathroom since 9:30 and did not want to get in any worse shape. They directed me to take a warm bath and if that did not help then to go to the ER. Well needless to say that did not help so Chad took me into the ER. Which is very scary place right now with the Swine Flu. Well the good news is, I did not have to wait once we got there and they took me straight back to a room and had to put in a catheter. Not pleasant at all, but it felt so much better not to have to go to the bathroom. Well they tested my output and they said that I had very clean urine and it was not an infection that had caused this. They only thing the doctor in the ER could guess is that my Urethra had closed (which this happened to me before when I was younger). So he said to go home with the catheter and to call a specialist Monday and go in and talk about it and have them take it out.

Well you know me and being pregnant, first thing Monday morning I called my OB. They had me come straight in and see the on call doctor (Dr. Davis, I really liked her). Well they did an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay with the baby and everything was perfect. The heartbeat was 165 and the baby looked great! So that is the good news. She called a specialist for us to see what we should do and he said that he feels like this is a fluke event that has nothing to do with being pregnant and that once we remove the catheter everything could be just fine. So they instructed me to take the catheter out myself last night before bed so that why if I woke up this morning and could not go to the bathroom then I had a problem still and would have to go back to the doctor. Well good news...... I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the potty!! It was just an answered prayer. So needless to say all is well for now and maybe I will not have to deal with this problem again!

Well I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and then the big one will be scheduled for November 23rd!! I am so super excited about this one of course!!
